History:
The celebration of the International Men's Day was first declared in February 1992 by Thomas Oaster to raise awareness about the issues that men face. The day coincides with the birthday of the father of Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh. He is a doctor from Trinidad and Tobago. He relaunched International Men's Day in 1999.
