In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the second edition of Khelo India Winter Games begins at Gulmarg. The five-day event will see the participation of athletes from across the country.

Meanwhile, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju reached Srinagar a day ahead of the start of Winter National Games which will officially kick-start from today in Ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The mega event is scheduled to be virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
