National Program for the youth titled “Responsible AI for Youth” has been launched by the Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, Communications and Law & Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad. The program has been launched to empower the youth of India with appropriate new age tech mind-set, hence making them digitally ready for the future. This program will provide students from Government schools pan India an opportunity to become part of the skilled workforce in an inclusive manner.

The portal was launched by Ravi Shankar Prasad, union minister for electronics, IT; communications and law and justice on 30 May 2020 to mark the first anniversary of the second tenure of the government.

India’s national Artificial Intelligence Portal called www.ai.gov.in has been jointly developed by the Ministry of Electronics and IT and IT industry body NASSCOM.

The programme has been created and launched by the National e-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics and IT in collaboration with Intel India, with support from Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSE&L), Ministry of Human Resource Development.
