June 2, 2020

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) has on 30 May 2020 delivered a Covid-19 data tracking platform to Karnataka, helping the state take data-driven measures to control the pandemic.

The Karnataka State Government launched the data analysis tool developed by Nasscom taskforce including Microsoft, Intel, Infosys, SAP Labs , Fractal Analytics, Mindtree, Accenture, Wipro, and many other member companies.

The platform is based on a plug and play concept, providing the benefit to users to decide which features they want to use and integrate with their existing platform as needed.

Nivruti Rai, Country Head, Intel India and lead of Nasscom Covid-19 Technology Taskforce, said this pandemic response platform is designed to augment the central and state governments’ efforts with a robust set of population scale COVID-19 indicators that help predict outbreaks and improve medical care administration.

“In this fast-evolving situation, data driven decision-making is critical to managing the spread of the disease and making sure there are enough facilities to manage the second wave of Covid-19 cases,” said Srikanth Velamakanni, co-founder, Group Chief Executive & Vice-Chairman, Fractal Analytics.
